REBRANDING: Waller Creek Conservancy

 

THE CONCEPT

Waller Creek Conservancy is a non-profit based around the maintenance of a chain of urban parks positioned around Waller Creek. Within this, they organise a lot of activities. Our concept was to create an all encompassing system to organise the events.

THE CHALLENGE

Re-branding an existing non profit considering the brand's equity, weaknesses and opportunities.

THE LOGO  - IDENTITY 1

  • Static mark where only color changes can be made within the brand.

  • Representation of calm creek waves - not a vibrant organization

  • C for Creek or Conservancy but no mention of Waller Creek - impersonal

POP UP PICNIC - IDENTITY 2

  • Bright colors and cursive - exciting, child-friendly atmosphere

  • Hand-drawn illustrations - emphasizing family friendly atmoshpere

  • Different font used for "Waller Creek"

CREEK SHOW - IDENTITY 3

  • Bold contrasts with mustard yellow and black

  • Introduction of a logo which has not previously appeared in brand identity

  • Different font used for "Waller Creek

SOLUTION

“Waller Creek is more than a creek”

NEW LOGO 

The new logo is a more fluid mark in its use. Some aspects of the previous logo remain such as the waves of the water. However, it is more unique to Waller Creek as the W for Waller is introduced.

NEW SYSTEM

The new system exhibits Austin culture with local food, art, and music in a way that is uniquely Austin, making Waller Creek a place where Austin Happens.

The system can be used for several promotional merchandise or documents.
